Landscapes and Restoration
Whiterock Conservancy is an ecological land laboratory located in the Middle Raccoon River Valley. We are about managing land in ways that are friendly to wildlife and native plants, promote human engagement with nature through recreation, and incorporating sustainable agricultural practices that landowners can use throughout the Midwest.  Projects such as our "Save the Oaks, Pay the Bills" and "Iowa, Meet Iowa" are two examples that demonstrate how Whiterock Conservancy is achieving our mission.

Whiterock Conservancy has been the subject of several studies , including botanical, herpetological (reptiles), and geological. We are actively seeking other types of research that can further understanding of the physical characteristics and ecology of our valley. Our goal is to integrate the research and use it to develop a cohesive approach to ecological restoration and ongoing land management.
