River House & Dance Barn
Situated along the banks of the Middle Raccoon River in the heart of the Whiterock Valley, the River House Dance Barn, prairies, and gardens provide breathtaking scenery and serve as a gorgeous backdrop for your special event.
The River House Barn was originally constructed in 1899, but converted to a dance barn during the Prohibition. It has been said that there has never been a “bad party” here. And judging by the stunning location, that isn’t hard to believe!
Bur Oak Visitors Center
Surrounded by windows, this event space is the perfect fit for a small reception, baby shower, graduation party, or a business meeting. Keep your eyes open for our eagles flying up and down the river!
Log House
The Log House is a log-style home with plenty of private space to host your family reunions, large group get-togethers, and much-needed city escapes to the beautiful Iowa countryside! Log House offers full amenities, including A/C, Wifi, basic cable, upper and lower-level kitchens, 4 bathrooms and all linens.
The Log House yard has a fire ring, picnic tables, and grill. It is just a short walk to trails and a fishing pond.
