Come out to the Star Field Campground for an evening of star gazing under Iowa's darkest skies at Whiterock Conservancy!
Hosted by Whiterock Conservancy in partnership with the Ames Amateur Astronomers, the Iowa Star Party Public Night will be held on Friday September 27th at 7:30 pm.
About the Event:
After a short introduction to the night sky, members of the public are welcome to look through various telescopes. If the weather is clear, visitors will have the chance to see galaxies, nebulas and stars millions of light years away, as well as some of the planets in our cosmic backyard, the Solar System.
All ages are welcome. Please wear appropriate attire for the weather and blankets are recommended.
