Great Weather and Turnout at Iowa Gravel Classic
Whiterock Conservancy hosted the 3rd annual Iowa Gravel Classic this weekend. The event had over 130 participants from across Iowa.
Starting at Star Field campground, racers began their rides at 7 a.m. and 7:15 a.m., depending on the distance of their ride.
Those beginning at 7 a.m. traveled 100 miles through Iowa backroads, seeing stunning scenery and beautiful farmland. Remaining participants rode the 100 km race, a shorter but equally gorgeous view of everything rural Iowa has to offer.
The race ended with a social immediately following to celebrate winners and racers.
